Magnum Manila is Back!

I think a lot were sad when Magnum Manila in SM Aura closed its doors last July, 2015. Fear not, they are back and now located in SM Mall of Asia.

It still serves our favorite desserts however the special dish found in the restaurant before are not included in the menu. For PHP120.00 you can select from 3 different "Naked Magnum" and add toppings and coatings.

For this session I went with chocolate Magnum with Pastillas, Graham Crackers and Mallows as toppings and Dark Chocolate Infinity as its coating.

They have a few tables inside the store and you have the Main Mall as your view.

It's definitely worth the try. The store is located at 2/F of SM Mall of Asia. Share your favorite Magnum.

Globe Lumpia - Quiapo's Special Treat

There are a lot of places to see in Quiapo. It's a hobbyist heaven whether it be music, arts and crafts, sport, photography or whatever it may be, Quiapo is the place to go because of the affordable price of the things here. You can explore the whole district and wont be able to help yourself in shopping. But if in case that you get hungry from your trip, I highly recommend on eating at Globe Lumpia House in Gonzalo Puyat street. It was established in 1956 at Globe theater in Quiapo. The theater/movie house building is already closed for decades but the lumpia store survived the test of time. They served freshly prepared lumpia made of vegetables, peanut and lettuce and a special sweet sauce. The taste is so good that they are always featured in different television shows. The long queue at their store is another proof that they are serving delicious food. Just imagine for less than PHP20.00 you can order can 1 serving of their famous lumpia.

Try it out and tell me you're experience at Globe Lumpia.

Latest Food Trip: Chickenzilla

Yum!!!

Banchetto has always been a favorite hangout for me and my coworkers. It gives us another option for food aside from the office pantry especially in the unholy hours in the morning. Most of the time we would settle for cakes and pasta. We also get to try new kinds of food here. One of them is Chickenzilla.

See how affordable it is? :-) and how easy to create your order

With affordable prices ranging from PHP 79.00 to PHP 105.00 you'll get a very generous size of chicken fillet and you get to choose the flavor and level of spiciness of your food. Plum with Medium spice is a personal favorite because it is something that is not common in any fast food or chicken restaurant. I will definitely try the other flavors soon.

Aside from the good food they also excel in customer service. You wouldn’t notice the 5 minutes cooking/preparing time of the chicken because the owner of stall will entertain you with his story about the humble beginnings of their business. And he also remembers the returning customers. That would be a plus point in any establishments because it shows that they really value you.

They had just started out in Banchetto not more than a monthago but they are really promising. Most of the time there is a long queue ofbuyers, a proof that they serve good food.  I do hope that they can go with their plan andopen up a restaurant so they can offer us more food choices but for now we canvisit them every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night at Banchetto Forum in Mandaluyong.

Banapple's Dark Chocolate Tiramisu Cheesecake

Banapple has always been a favorite of mine. My aunt and I are already regular customers. Our usual order is their bestselling Banoffee Pie. We want to have a different kind of breakfast.  For a change we ordered Dark Chocolate Tiramisu Cheesecake. 5 minutes of waiting for the cake is worthwhile. It’s a really big serving and what I like about it is that the taste is perfect. It’s not too sweet nor not too bitter because of the dark chocolate.  They added chocolate chips and syrups on the side as well. J The cheese is so creamy and it complements the tiramisu crust.  A slice of this cake is worth P100.00, this is something worth spending for.

Lola Idang's Pancit

The restaurant is located at white plains , Quezon City. They serve mainly local dishes from pancits to -silog meals. One of their best sellers is the pancit malabon. 1 serving is around P50. I can say that the taste is really good. Another thing we would enjoy in this food is the toppings, it has eggs, shrimp, chicaron and rich thick sauce. I'm looking forward for another lunch at Manang Idang's. :-)
